Question: Self Saxophone Repair/Maintenance!?
I can't seem to find one, so does anyone know of a website that teaches you how to do some saxophone repair, maintenance and/ or how to take apart and put together a saxophone!. The whole thing (including the keys and bars and stuff), not just take it apart to put in the case!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You shouldn't have to take the whole horn apart to fix something!. Trying to fix almost any problem without experience usually causes more problems anyway!. If you need a repair go to a shop!.

I don't recommend it but,
Taking apart a saxophone is easy, just get an instrument screw driver (small flathead should work) and unscrew the screws and internal rods in the instrument!. Getting it back together is the tricky part!. You need to put the last ones you took off first, because certain keys need certain keys already in place to work!. I recommend you don't do this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

for the love of all that is holy, bring it to a shop! if you want to learn how to repair it yourself ask the repair man if you can shadow him for a while, or watch as he explains what he's doing to your horn!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
