Question: Question about tom tension rod!.!?
I have a 12" tom drum for my kit, and the bottom ring of the drum fell off a long time ago!. I don't have a tool to remove the tension rods, but plan to get one soon!. My question is what size of a tension rod should I purchase for the tom ring!? Does the 28mm size sound about right!?

also, my snare is ringing a lot!. Will replacing the heads help correct the ring!?

ThanksWww@QuestionHome@Com

I would go with a 35mm rod!. it will b sure to be long enough to be able to hold the tension!.

Now about your snare!.!.!.replacing the head would help with the tone of any drums but what you must remember ring isn't necessaraly a bad thing!. When you perform onstage that ring will not be heard by the crowd just the innitial attack of the drum!.

If you play often i would suggest replacing all the heads on the entire kit!. I know that it will make your time playing much more enjoyable!.

If the snare still continues to ring then you may neet to muffle it to meet your personal prefferances!. thats what the sound of a kit is really about!. your set should show your personality!.

Below i have listed some links to some stuff you could look into getting for your set!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
