Question: Can anyone tell me about Takamine guitars!?
I went to the shop and tried a few guitars, and I really liked this one:

Does anyone have an idea about how good it really is!? Another guitar that I tried and liked was this Ashton:
http://www!.allansmusic!.com!.au/Product!.as!.!.!.

I couldn't really decide between the two in my three trips to the store, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me more about both, although I am leaning slightly towards the Takamine!. There is very little information on the Takamine D-series on the net however, and this worries me a little!.

So please, any help on this is appreciated!. If you have the particular guitar it helps too!.

Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Takamine is a good guitar co!. and I'm not familiar with Ashton, but at least you went to a shop! bravo! too bad they don't sell Seagull or you would have already made up your mind, unfortunately the 2 you have listed don't seem to be available or popular in the US, and I'm not sure the Seagull is available in abundance overseas, if you can find a Guild D55 I'd suggest you grab it, out of all my acoustics that's my favorite, but the Martin ain't no slouch either, my Seagull is neither low or high end but is the best ain't afraid of getting it dirty or banging it up guitar I've ever hadWww@QuestionHome@Com

All I know is I saw the Eagles at Verizon Center yesterday, and Glenn Frey and Don Henley both had Takamine acoustics and it sounded HEAVENLY!. I don't know much about Takamine acoustics, but they sure sounded great yesterday, so I would check them out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For the price, you really can't go wrong with the Takemine D-series, which represents a copy of the legendary Martin D-series!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
