Is it possible to learn how to play the piano on a cheap keyboard?

Question: Is it possible to learn how to play the piano on a cheap keyboard!?

I can't afford a piano(or an expensive keyboard)and I plan on teaching myself using a book(can't afford lessons)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't know if you'll end up being Mozart or Beethoven but you can definitely teach yourself songs!. My kids have a cheap keyboard and I've learned a lot of songs!. Depends on whether you have a musical ear!. The key (no pun intended) is whether the book explains which keys are which notes!. If it's a cheap keyboard, you might want to write the notes on the keys to help you learn!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

That's perfectly fine!. I actually learned how to play piano on a TOY laptop! It had these cards that told you which notes to play, and that's how I learned!. I was about 6 or 7 then!.

Anyway, I had a cheap keyboard that I borrowed from my cousin!. It wasn't a full size, but I learned decent songs and improved on my note reading!. You can definitely be self taught, because now I own a full size keyboard and play all sorts of songs!.:) I had lessons for less than a year when I was maybe 9 or 10, but all I learned was how to read notes; didn't really get to the hard play-with-two-hands part!.
