Question: How do you transpose E major key signature to a horn and alto sax and bflat clarinet!?
I know the basic transposition of these three from piano but I don't know how to change it to the specific key!. If that makes any sense!. Like if the piano part is set in E major how would you transpose that to a alto sax and Horn and Bflat clarinet regarding key signature!. I guess my question is what Key would you be in for the three specific instruments I know they are all in E Major but whats it look like!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you want to make the key sig for all of these so they play in E maj!. Concert!?!?!?

Horn is built in the key of F, so you add one more sharp to cancel out that flat (key of A maj!.-5 sharps total-f-c-g-d-a)

clarinet is built in the key of B flat, so you add 2 more sharps to cancel out the 2 flats (key of D# maj!. 6 sharps total)

alto sax is built in the key of E flat, so you add 3 more sharps to cancel those 3 flats (key of C# Maj!. 7 sharps total)Www@QuestionHome@Com

You don't transpose, all the instruments in your question can play in E Major- that's it!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
