Can someone tell me about the Takamine D-series?

Question: Can someone tell me about the Takamine D-series!?

Specifically the electric-acoustic models!. If you own one, or have before, can you please tell me if it's a good buy!? Or suggestions about what I should get instead in that price range!?

I own a EAN15C because of lots of acoustic and acoustic-electric at the studio!. Love the built-in tuner LOL!.

As for the D series ( i do own one also )!. Takamine has beautiful sound, beautiful fingerboards, and awesome finish!. Then it is up to the player to make it sound good or bad!.
I have a TED50SC and love the guitar although, it doen't sound as nice as my EAN but, the reason I use it is because I slap a lot on the soundboard during rhythm which gives it a great drum-like effect to the chords LOL!.

I have played some absolutely gorgeous Takamines, but I still hold that you would do better to have the clerks cover up the brand names before you buy any guitar!. Two guitars can roll of the same luthier's bench, one right after the other, and be totally different guitars!. The perfect guitar is not found in a name unless name-dropping at jam sessions is the ultimate goal!. I wouldn't go shopping for the perfect lover on the insistence that his name is the first and foremost requirement!.

I think an awful lot of guys (I've never seen a lady guitar player do it) really do buy guitars for their name-dropping value!. Kinda turns my stomach!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
