Everyone is answering your question wrong!. You don't want to know the difference between a bass and an electric guitar!. You want to know the difference between a bass and an electric bass right!?

Well to tell you the truth, when people say bass guitar they are 99% of the time referring to the electric bass guitar!. So really there is no difference!. The only basses that don't get plugged in are acoustic basses which I do not recommend at all!. and stand up/double basses!. These are fretless and played more like a cello except without a bow sometimes and with it other times!.

Im 99!.9% sure you want a bass/electric bass/same differenceWww@QuestionHome@Com

Test it out in guitar stores!.The bass is lower while the guitar plays!.The electric guitar you can bust alot of solos!.Theres solos in bass but not like the electric guitar!.Watch videos online too!.The notes are in sort of different spots!.But same alphabet of notes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

umm one just plugs in and the other one doesnt

if youre just playing around, regular bass is fine but if you are in a band that performs you basically *need* an electric bass that will plug in to an amp so it is louderWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think both are same!. The only difference is that, with an electric guitar you have the option for amplifying the sound produced using the plug ins!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

a bass is more boom and a guitar is more dingWww@QuestionHome@Com
