Hey GTR

I suggest to bring it in unless you are good at cutting out the cavity to fit the floyd in!. It's not complicated!. The worst part is to make the cavity smooth and that, even if not perfectly straight, the floyd will cover the imperfections!.
Just make sure the drill holes are taken into account and not to make the hole too big!. I have seen this done where their was no place to screw in the screws because the cavity was tooooooo big!.

The main thing as I explained to one person on here before, is to mae sure to have the same distance from the fingerboard nut to the 12th fret and from the 12th fret to the saddle where the string passes over!. Once you have that, there is a dummy cutout that comes with many floyd rose so that you can put it on the guitar and follow it!.

Once you decide to do it and cut out, just pop the floyd in the rose, making sure it is straight !. Remove fingerbaord nut and just screw the top lock in its place, restring, do the intonation and play!.

If all else fails, the shop will charge you $75 to install it!. They are responsible of they screw up so the fee is not exaggerated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
