Question: How do you play various guitar techniques!?
Well, I been trying to play a tab!. What does it mean when it has an arrow and says "full" Could you basically tell me how to do that technique or tell me what it is called!. When I play pitch harmonics, how come it sounds so quiet!? How do other guitar players make it sound so loud!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

*String Bends*

The little arrow and "full" is called a bend!. It's when you finger a note, and after you pick it, you bend the string up or down!. This increases the tension in the string and causes the note alue to go up!. Full just means bend it until the note is now one full whole note up!.

*Pinch Harmonics*
The quality of your pinch harmonics depends greatly on two main factors - the "sweet spot", and the amount of distortion used!. Let's start with distortion!.!.!. you're never going to get a loud, metal-sounding pinch harmonic if you're using no distortion!. Distortion adds the attack, sustain, and overall drive to produce a good-sounding pinch harmonic!. Try turning up the distortion on your amp then trying to pinch harmonic!. With practice you'll be able to do them better, without as much distortion!.

As for the sweet spot, when you'r edoing pinch harmonics, there are always sweet spots on the strings!. The spots are located in a horizontal position on the strings!. Try moving your right hand around a bit to find a spot!. There are probably 4-5 sweet spots in the picking area of the string!.

Note that the sweet spot positions are in the same place for all 6 strings, HOWEVER they are slightly different from guitar to guitar!. If you get used to doing pinch harmonics on your guitar, you may have some trouble on a friend's guitar, since they're in different spots!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
