Violin bridges do break and have no antique value!. Replacing a bridge is not as easy as it might appear!. Call the violin shop and ask, How much for a violin bridge installed!? Around here it would be $40 to $80 however some violin teachers can do it and don't charge as much!.
After the bridge is replaced!. Ask how to keep it from falling or breaking again!. You have to learn how to keep it straight!.
Last words!. NEVER glue a bridge to the violin!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. Whether she broke it, or it popped by itself, it CAN be replaced!. Bridges on a string instrument such as cello, bass, viola, and violin pop over time, and you can buy new ones to replace it!. Just buy a new one!. I don't exactly know how to replace, it but I know it can be done!. It has happened to my classmates before, and my director says it happens in periods of time!. Yes, you can replace it; I just don't know how!. If you have someone that could help you, that'd be great!. Hope I helped! :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

they are replaceable!
your best bet is to take it to an instrument repair technician so they can set it properly!
Sis need not worry about the ancestors, accidents happen & there has been a lot of stress on that bridge for years anyway (they eventually give out from age sometimes)!.

p!.s!. Kab is right---never EVER glue the bridge on!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Breaking a bridge is not a big deal; the violin probably needed a new bridge anyway!. One can buy bridges, but really they need to be shaped and positioned by a luthier (professional violin repair person)!. Look under "violin" in the Yellow Pages!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you've never worked on a violin before, i wouldn't mess with it!. Take it to a luthier, most bigger music stores will have one!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Can't be fixed!. You need to have a new bridge cut!. It's the violin that is worth more not so much the bridge!.

Depending where you live $30-$60!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You mean she actually broke it in half or she misplaced it!? She can always put it back in properly!. It's not broken!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
