Question: What should I wear to the opera at City Hall!?
I am 17 and I have no idea about what to wear!.
This opera is just for high school students!. I don't have any dress so probably I need to get one and I have only 2 days before the opera!.

I need help!.
Details would be best!. such as what color, what kind of dress, long or short, high heel or flat, also do I need a bag!?

what about the hair!?

I will be glad if someone give me any advices or comments!.

As a former performer in Opera, I have a few ideas for "proper" Opera attire!. (Although if it's for High School Students, I'm betting most of them aren't going to give a hoot about propriety and will probably wear some God-Awful outfits like mini dresses and belly shirts and all that stuff :-P )

I hope you don't overdress!.!.!.!.but for your age and your surroundings, you should wear a dark colored dress!. It doesn't have to be long to the floor, but should not go much above the knees!. (Think: dinner in a very nice restaurant)!. Nothing "flashy"!. Don't wear stiletto heels or platforms!. A nice dark mid-height pump would be fine!. Or a comfortable low heeled one!.
No tennies or sandals! Unless the sandals are very dressy type ones, like a combo sandal/pump type shoe(not sure what you'd call that style, but I hope I get the idea across)

Hair is not a big deal, but don't wear it so it sticks up alot! Pinned back with a nice barrette or a french braid maybe!?

Dress nice, but don't get all "prommed up"
Adults who attend Opera usually wear dress suits or black tie wear!.

But for high school, good restaurant wear in dark colors is appropriate!.

Oh, I forgot!.!.!.Just a small clutch purse would be fine!. Don't bring a HUGE bag or anything!. LOLWww@QuestionHome@Com
