Question: How do i get like a thick joe walsh sound on my gibson mahog studio!?
Hello i have been playing guitar for awhile now!. im really good now!. but now i really want to focus on getting like a really thick tone!. like i notice when i hear joe walsh like u can hear the pick hitting the notes really good!. i also love how he will sometimes mute a couple strings and do like a bend or a note!. its hard for me to explain!. i just wanted to know if it has anything to do with the intonation set-up and if so can anyone help me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hi Rob

Nothing to do with intonation!. He likes to play with the pickup close to the neck whcih gives a fatter sound especially on gibson!. I have an ols 1963 Les Paul and the bluesy fat sound of the neck pickup is full!.
Basically, use the neck pickup and lower the treble tone a little!. That should do it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
