Question: Writing rhythms!? Dotted notes!?
I'm in music GCSE and we're studying complicated rhythms (well, complicated-ish)!. We have to write a percussive paraphernalia
I did an A section which was ok, my teacher said it was good lots of semiquavers and quavers linked with semiquavers!.

Now I'm trying to do a B section, with dotted notes and like a round!. Can you give me any dotted rhythms, I know how to write them down and note values, but I don't know how they go!. Like for a syncopated rhythm she says "knock on the door" which helps us for one of the rhythms!.

Any help!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, the dot next to the note adds half the value again to it!. So a dotted quaver is like a quaver and a half!.
You can listen to some examples on this website:

It should explain things a bit more clearly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
