Have you tried the Vic Firth Corpsmaster "Ralph Hardimon" signature sticks !? They're big and heavy, so you can really slam them to get a lot of volume outdoors!. I like the nylon tipped ones!.

Actually, I don't play very much outdoors now!. But I use these heavy sticks to build my endurance and speed while using a practice pad!. If you do a few minutes of single-stroke rolls with these, you'll blaze when you switch back to lighter sticks !Www@QuestionHome@Com
