Question: Why is my saxophone squeaking!?
I had my first lesson and there wasn't one squeak!. Now when I practice all I get are loud awful squeaks - help!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your reed could be damaged, your teeth could be making contact with the reed, your embouchure (mouth grip) could be too tight!. I'm 99% sure it's not a fault with your sax, so don't worry! Loosen up, relax, check your reed!

make sure you are doing as you are instructed!. if you just blow it will be a different sound from any other saxophone if you are in/will be in a band!. keep practicing, you'll get it! make sure your reed isn't chipped or warped!.!.!. if you can't find anything wrong w/ the sax, check yourself, and if it still squeaks, ask your instructor to look!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
