Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Glad the toothpick worked BUT you cant trust it with just a toothpick you should make a mix of rough sawdust and wood glue and shoot it in the hole along with the toothpick pieces!. completely seal and close the hole and then use a small drill to create a pilot for the strap lock!. This will be a PERMANENT fix!. And it wont come loose and break out additional material!. you could also use epoxy if thats easier for you and would adhere to the plastic very well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I had this problem with my 5 string bass!. I ended up buying a strap-lock kit and that fixed the problem!. It roughly costs about 50 bucks!. Edit:In that case, try a fatter screw!. Becareful of the length!. I put one in with a cordless screwgun!. If the screw is too long, it won't be snug!. Too fat of a screw head and the straplock won't work anymore!. Edit: What about putting a glob of liqiud nails or wood adhesive on the old screw!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Put a wooden Toothpick in the hole, put screw back in should be tight!. If not put another in!. That trick works good for loose screws on entry doors!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
