Question: Stage fright, public speaking!.!. help!!?
Well I've never really had to do any public speaking before!. But on monday I have to do a skit in history class!. I get so nervous when I'm reading my lines!. In 7th grade I did a similar thing and started shaking! I'm just not comfortable with the kids in this class!. There are quite a few rude smartasses! also the guy I like is in my class!. How do I get over this so I can deliver on Monday!?!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Fix your eyes on an imaginary dot at the back of the room!. Pretend the dot is the face of Santa Claus, or anyone you trust!. About the smartasses, generally smartasses are not the brightest bulbs in the box and should be worried about their own grades!. Just ignore them as people who have more serious problems that they can't handle!. If you start getting worked up then just breathe and go a little slower, or ask your teacher if you can have a glass of water while you do this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Everyone in public school has to go through that at sometime!. Any chance you could rehearse with your group beforehand!? If you can't rehearse with your group, then can you find friends to fill in the different roles!? You'll feel much more comfortable than going in dry!.
Practice it a few times, and, when the actual times comes, just focus on your lines!. Lose yourself in your performance!. Choose spots on the walls to look at before you have to do your skit, that will help you avoid eye contact with the kids in your class!.
Breathe in, breathe in out, then go and do it!.
also, just know that many other kids, if not everyone, are also nervous!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
