How to read guitar chords and play em?

Question: How to read guitar chords and play em!?

ok i'm trying to learn this song call Seishun Kyosokyoku the problem is i can only read tabs and not chords

In the begining of the song it's starts out w/ a Gmaj7 the and there's this websites that shows chords but there's it's got like 5 different pictures of that chord
any ideas!?

Any of those chords pictures will work!. Choose the one that is easiest to get to from your previous chord or the one that sounds best to you and rock on!. They are all the same chord, they're just different "voicings"!.

Here's an easy way to play a Gmaj7:
e: 3rd fret
a: 2nd fret (or mute)
d: open
g: open
b: open
e: 2nd fret
