Question: Im gonna learn to play the trumpet, does it matter if i start with a student trumpet or not!?

If you can afford a finer instrument, then I would encourage you to invest in an intermediate or entry level professional trumpet!.

You will need to balance your level of commitment with your budget!. In other words, are you totally committed to mastering the trumpet or is this a "let's see how much I like it" kind of commitment!. I think you understand my point!.

What kind of music do you want to focus on!.!.!. classical, band, jazz or maybe all of the above!? Different trumpets are better for different idioms!.

Check out Yamaha trumpets!. They are fairly flexible horns that work well in different settings, and they are reasonably priced!. You might also look at Bach if you want to concentrate on orchestral and band!.

Plan to spend somewhere between $800-2,000 depending on which horn you select!.
