Question: New squier strat makes no sound!?

i just bought a new squier strat from guitar center, i plug it into the amp and get no sound, the amp turns on and i can hear buzzing but when i hook the cable to the guitar nothing changesWww@QuestionHome@Com

It's probably the instrument cable as was pointed out in the previous post!.

A couple of things to try in the meantime, just in case!.!.!. Plug in the cable, turn the amp up, and touch the metal part of the jack!. Grab it and let go a few times!. If it you can hear static changing shape (due to your feet grounding you), then maybe the cable is ok!.
also if you have a stereo, keyboard, or something else you can plug the cable into and run to the amp, that'll tell you if it's a cable problem or not!.

If you do any of these tests and they indicate the cable is probably ok, make sure you take your guitar with you to the store!. Try it out on one of their amps with their cable!.
Again, I'm guessing it's almost certainly the cable that's broken, but it might be worth testing to save yourself some time/money/headaches!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
