After listing the pieces you will be performing and the composers who wrote them with name and birth/death dates, why not start with a biographical sketch a bout yourself!.!.!. just a paragraph or two that includes your musical studies, teachers, accomplishments and some human interest like hobbies, goals, ambitions, etc!.

Then you might want to include a short description of each piece!.!.!. when and where it was written, who commissioned it if applicable, reception of the piece when it was first played and a summary of the music itself, like themes, form, program or story behind the music, etc!.

Good program notes take time to write, but you will learn a great deal about the music you are performing!. This knowledge will, in turn, enable you to play from a deeper, more profound level!. Your audience will appreciate the information, and you will give a better concert!.

Good luck!
