Question: What is a good intermediate drum kit!?
iv'e been playing drums for about 6 years now and i'm still stuck with this rubbish beginners kit!. I'm looking to buy a new kit, but i dont know what!. iv got around $1400 and ive king of been drawn towards the pearl vmx kit!.
could any1 give me some advice about whether this is a good choice or if not, what kit i should get,

You could try the Sonor brand for an intermediate drum set!. A fair amount of the indie bands I know use Sonor brands for their drummers!.

Basically, you will need!.!.!.!.!.

1 hi-hat (with foot pedal for the kick)
1 kick drum (with foot pedal for the kick)
1 ride cymbal with stand
1 crash cymbal with stand
1 tom-tom (doesn't matter if its high, medium, or low-sounding)
1 cowbell stand (for Latin songs)

Going price would be $800-950, I guess, for all this!.

And of course!.!.!.!.!.
Drum sticks, which will run about $100-200!.
