Question: Hii!.!.!. just a quick question about using a capo when playing guitar!?
heyy um

i'm getting lessons very soon, so i'll stop bothering you with my noob questions, haha

i was messing around and decided i'd try to play a song by Bright Eyes, called You Will!. You!? Will!. You!? Will!. You!? Will!.

so i found the chords on ultimate guitar, but realized that my girl voice doesn't go as low as Conor's does!.

do you think i can use a capo (er, well, a pencil and some rubber bands) and try playing with it!? if it's possible, which fret do i put it on!? does it even matter which one!? D:

i have no clue about these things so if you can help me out then loveee to you!. :]

thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah man!. you just need to experiment around the fret board with the capo to see which key fits your voice!. start at one and work your way up!. just play the cords the same as if there was no capo!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It doesn't matter which fret you put it on, just as long as it's the right range for your voice!. All you're doing by putting on a capo is changing the key in which you're playing the song!.
If your voice doesn't go as low as the original singer's, you can always try playing the song without a capo, but sing an octave higher than the original singer!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

firs of all the pencil thing might damage ur guitar, second the position of the capo in the frets does make a difference!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

experiment start at the first fret and work your way upWww@QuestionHome@Com

try the same tab, just sing an octave higher!. that might be cool!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
