Question: I want to start learning guitar because i want to cover the songs by my favorite bands!.!.!.!?
i've ALWAYS wanted to learn guitar!. i am completely and totally in love with rock music!. all i want to do is to cover my favorite songs and stuff, i know it could take years and its not as easy as it looks!. but to me, its worth the wait and practice!.

do you think its too late for me to start learning guitar!? i just turned 14!. and should i start off with acoustic guitars first!? because i want to end up playing electric!.

i've seen people on youtube do guitar covers of my favorite songs!. and where do they get the music!? is there guitar music for every album that's out there!? or do they just have so much skill that they listen carefully to the song and play it by ear!?

and for people that knows how to play guitar, was it really hard when you first started off!? was it boring!?

and if it helps for your answer, i know how to read music!. i've played piano for a year when i was 8, and at about 10, i started playing flute!. and is still playing flute right now!.

i know there's alot to answer, but please help!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Reading "Tab" is the fastest way to get sound out, but of course it's like taking a foreign language in school; speaking, writing and understanding are totally different things!.

My answer is that you can be ripping AC/DC cords in about a year!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

guitar isnt really about reading the music but rather knowing the theory behind it!.
you're only 14!. you got years ahead of you so you have time!. but i wont lie!.!.!. the music world is a hard world to succeed in!.
u have a better chance of getting into Yale law than being a successful musician!. and when i say successful, im talking about performing on TV, interviews with E! etc etc!.!.!.
there are two types of musicians, the ones that make it and the ones that don't!.
when i was around your age (freshmen in high school), i had to decide if i wanted to dedicate my life to play clarinet for my entire life, OR decided to explore the world and see what i wanted to study!.

i decided to study and i don't regret one bit!. i still play around with all my instruments (clarinet, piano, all the saxophones, flute, cello, drums, all guitars)!.

if you don't consider yourself a genius or a prodigy, i strongly recommend that you stick with studying!. BUT never give up on music either!. playing at least one instrument can change your life!. ask your mom if you can start piano lessons again!. TRUST ME!

i've lived longer than you and i see people complaining to their parents saying "why didn't you push me mom!?" or "i wish you forced me to play the piano"!. PIANO is the link to all music instruments!.

no matter what age (well i guess below 25), it is never too late to pick up a guitar!. go ahead and start learning guitar by playing/singing Christian music!. Christian music has easy chords and they have all sorts of strum rhythms so you can get the basic feel of what playing the guitar is like!. then you should try exploring tabs/jazz chords!. guitar is an awesome instrument!. when i feel lonely or depressed guitar and the piano are my drugs that make me happy and relieved again ^^ Www@QuestionHome@Com
