My teacher used to give me a kleenex and just have me practice by sliding the kleenex up and down the strings under my fingers!. You need to relax your hand arm and fingers and just slide it back and forth!. Then over time, do it faster and faster!. Ideally, when you have accomplished it, the pads of your fingers remain still and your hand wobbles loosely!. Any tension in your hand will make it much more difficult, not to mention strain your hand!. hope that helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you are taking orchestra you have a teacher!. That is what the teacher if for!.
Ask the teacher!.
You need someone to work with your vibrato!. It is not something that you learn in a few weeks!. With someone who knows the vibrato (teacher) they can check on you regularly and make adjustments etc!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
