It is different for a man and a woman

A man has 4 different types of voices
Falsetto: If you "crack" your voice and make it go very high, that's basically what falsetto is (though trained voices will not sound "cracked")
Head: Used also for high notes!. It'll feel breathy and very airy!. It is also sometimes called "Covered Falsetto" Listen to "Bring Him Home" from Les Miserables and you'll hear Falsetto, Head, and Middle
Middle (of Full): This is your basic singing voice for low to high notes that feel full and rounded!. Many can go as high in middle as they can in head but the tone is much different!. Same is true for low and chest
Chest: For the lowest notes singing from your chest usually with a dark and sometimes raspy quality!. Listen to "Old Man River"Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's a really hard feeling to describe, but your speaking voice is usually what's referred to as your "chest voice"!. If you keep trying to sing higher and higher, you'll eventually reach your head voice!. It's very similar to falsetto and it can be a little different for men and women!. I usually describe it as the part of your voice that makes you sound like a female opera singer!. If you try mimicking that sound, you may be able to find it!. If you can, ask someone who knows to give you an example!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

there is no "feel" of a head voice!.
when you use your head voice that just means that you use more of your normal talking voice!.
when you don't use your head voice, you have to use more air!.
you use your head voice for lower notes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
