Your Q is quite tricky to answer, one was clearly a better musician in the accepted sense yet the lyrics of the other gave much to humanity!. Whilst Jimi led the way in mastery of his guitar, Bob in my view made one think!. I guess that means my definitive answer has to be Bob Marley!.
