Question: What is the difference between Voice lessons and Vocal Improvisation!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Voice lessons help you to learn the proper way to breathe and the right annunciations for certain syllables!. Usually your instructor will give you pieces to study and work on!.

Vocal improv is basically making it up as you go, but it has to be a part of the chord being played/sung by others!. A great example of this is "scatting" in jazz music, or sometimes a cadenza!. A more "toned-down" example would be experimenting with different rhythms or changing the melody a little bit in a song!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

They're two completely different things!.

Voice lessons are just that!.!.!. you learn proper technique and theory!.

Improvisation is when you make it up as you go, as
opposed to singing the song exactly the same way every time!.

That doesn't mean singing just anything, you have to understand the harmonic structure of the song so you can make up a part that FITS with the music!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
