Too old for guitar lessons at 22?

Question: Too old for guitar lessons at 22!?

I have ALWAYS wanted to learn guitar!. I write lyrics and would love to be able to sing covers, etc!. I played clarinet when I was younger so I pick up on the reading of music fairly quickly even today!. It will just take some retraining!. I have been devoting all my time to school and work and havent learned the guitar!. I took a college guitar course a couple years ago but havent played since then!. I want to sign up for private lessons!. Do you think Im too old to learn!? My family has a propensity for music and my entire family plays clarinet, violin, and piano by ear!. No one is too old to learn any instrument!. The only issue would be if you want to become the ultimate professional because most of them have been playing since their early youth and had time to grow and and experiment!. If you consistently practice a few hours a week by 25 you could be very good!. That is still young enough to produce something great with your lyrics!.

Tip!.!.!.if you want to learn, don't read some of those old beginners guitar books!. Get a song book by a band or singer you like, make sure it has guitar tablature in it even if you can read music!. It so easy to follow visual guitar notation, and learn songs that you know and like than by playing oh my darling clementine or she'll be coming round the mountain - trust me I've been there!Www@QuestionHome@Com
