Congratulations on your parents approving!. It's good to hear you will be saving for it and buying it yourself!

Now, you can spend a few bucks to thousands on a guitar but it's smart to go with the best you can afford for now and not overspend before you decide you really like something and get better at it!. I will give you a few links that can point you to a great site that sells good equipment and for the beginner you would have a hard time beating their prices!. You may need your parents to order it for you once you save the money but I have purchased a starter kit from them, electric guitar with everything I needed, and was totally impressed with the quality and the cost including shipping!. The company is Music123 and they are great based on reviews I read and from my exprience!.

Here is their choices of Value Packs:

Here is the one I recommend: Looks like a great deal and with shipping it's under $150 with everything you need to start!.

The main site linke:

Check around this site and see what you like!. Read reviews on the product at the site and search the internet for the ones you like to see if anyone else might have opinions!.

Hope this helps you decide and get a good Guitar! Good luck with learning how to play it as well!Www@QuestionHome@Com

audepends on make and model if you think you're going to stick to it you could be paying anything up to $1500 and over, but if you're just learning you could get a semi decent one for like $100!. Good makes are Ovation, Gibson, Fender!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

$100 for a cheap model
$300 for a better one
I recommend buying one with a brand name like Fender, Washburn, or Gibson!. That way if you ever decide to get rid of it (maybe to buy a better one) it will be easier to sellWww@QuestionHome@Com

check out www!.guitarcenter!.com, www!.musiciansfriend!.com & www!.americanmusicalsupply!.com this should get you startedWww@QuestionHome@Com

You should expect to spend the best part of $200 for a starter guitar that's good enough to not hold you back!. Prices go up from there into five figures!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
