Question: Why are remastered recordings never as good as the original big hit!? And what the heck is remastering anyway!?
It's disquieting!. Another thing is DVD movies, with some of the best scenes in the original movies being savagely edited out for the DVD version!. I could strangle whoever edited Billy Eliot for DVD!. also badly mangled were The Winslow Boy and White Squall!. Of course the editing of movies for TV is equally bad!. They butchered Weird Science and Class of 1984!. There oughta be a law against altering the editing of the original, in both music and cinema!. Even heavies like Little Richard and Billy Idol produce inferior later or remastered versions of their music!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh boy do I have the EXACT answer!. I completly agree with you by the way!. What good does remastering do!? Nada damn thing! So here why they remaster!. The purpose of remastering is not to make a song sound better (if you liked it before, then what would make you like it even more!?)!. The reason why is because when it's remastered aka re-edited then the company has a legit reason to put it back on market shelves!. Ever notice how when a movie like Spiderman 3 comes out, you can find all kinds of old spiderman crap like spiderman cartoons from the 80s for sale on dvd at WALMART!? well believe it or not, those make mega bucks!. Some people just plain collect crap anyways, and if they are obsessed with Billy Idol, and he has a new CD with same old crap, then hardly anyone will care!.!.!.!. but REMASTERED! makes it sound all that much more worth buying!. Sadly, thats how the markets work!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
