Question: What should I do about my voice!?
I was at band camp for a week and as a section leader I have to shout a lot!. Now my voice went away and it's been coming back gradually!. However it's been 5 days now and everything is normal except my head voice and falsetto are still very scratchy and cracky!. Should I see a doctor or continue to wait it out!? Is the damage bad!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try not to use your voice and if you must whisper!. Don't drink coffee, tea or soda because they are hard on your throat!. Drink water!. Take a multivitamin, get good sleep!.

For the future - Learn to speak from your diaphragm and lower the pitch of your voice when you speak up!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well this has happened to me !.!. when i went to singing school !.!.!. and all i had to do is go to a specialist and they per scribed me medicaded that worked in 2 daysWww@QuestionHome@Com

Your vocal chords have been over- stretched and need time to recover, use your voice as little as possible for a week or so and no SHOUTING,, and things should get back to normal on their own!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
