Question: What is a good kind of bass guitar to start out with!?

Those are decent basses to start out on!. I prefer the Jazz basses over the Precision basses, as the necks are much easier to play!. Be patient, and practice every day if you can!. If you have no musical experience whatsoever, might be worth looking into taking formal lessons!. The lessons will prevent you from learning bad habits that might hinder your playing and be difficult to change later as you progress!.
