Hi Patrick, if I had a choice, without hesitation and having owned one prior to this question, the Hummingbird !. Not that the D-28 is ot good !. I also owned one!.
But for the prestige and re-sale value, Gibson for sure!. Even soundwise, that guitar alond with their model called The Dove are awesome in sound and durability!.

This is a personal taste and I repeat, the D-28 is neck in neck to the Hummingbird!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Martin D-28 without question!. The D-28 is the workhorse of the industry used by countless professionals!. The Hummingbird is a typical overbuilt Gibson acoustic with lousy tone!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd probably take the Martin D-28!. I've played various friends' Martins and liked them quite a bit, never tried a Gibson Hummingbird!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hummingbird without batting an eye!. That's a guitar to make you weak in the knees!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
