turn the bass down to about midway, turn your mids to about!.!.!.!.!.10 o clock!. turn your treble to 3, make sure your volume is pretty low!. maybe put it on the neck pickup!. it could just be a function of your amp though, what are you working with!? when i started out, i had a marshall mg series, and i found that pretty much the clean channel on that was a lost cause!. what i ended up doing was putting the bass and treble (it had no mids!) to about 9 or 10 o clock and keeping the volume low, and just hoping for the best!. you can also get a pedal to reduce the gain and raise the volume, which is a complicated idea!. basically you lower the sensitivity and rais the power output for volume increase without input increase, so you get loud with less effect on the toneWww@QuestionHome@Com

check the treble and mid settings!.!.!. perhaps raise them a bit!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
