Hey Richie!.!.!. a couple of things come to mind here!. First of all!.!.!. for these gigs!.!.!. is the drum set and guitar being mic'd, and sent to a Sound Reinforcement System(P!.A!.)!? If so!.!. what you have is MORE than adequate!. I believe that amp has a built in D!.I!.!.!. and if thats the case!.!. you'll be in the Front of House P!.A!. as well!. If that amp tilts back!.!. Raise it up a couple of feet!.!. then tilt it back!. A mistake with a lot of younger players is they have the amps pointed directly at there ankles or shins!. Ive yet to see ankles or shins that can hear! Ive used as little as a 30 watt amp on a very high stand for situations like this!.!. and more recently, dont even take an amp out most of the time anymore!. All I take is my Ampeg BSR Rackmount Bass Preamp!.!.!.!.!. as I use "In Ear"monitors!. I also double on keys in my band!.!. and dont take an amp out for that!.!.!. in ears also!. I can dial in whatever I want in the mix!.!.!. plus!.!. lot less to carry!

If all you are running through the P!.A!. is vocals, then nobodies amp should be louder than the drums!.

Ampeg makes a very good halfstack!. They have great sounding 4X10 cabs!. Same with S!.W!.R!., and Gallien-Krueger!. 450 watts should be MORE than plenty, as all 3 of these companies make great 450 watters!.

My bass amps (7 bass rigs) range from 30 watts all the way to a 1600 watt Ampeg Head with TWO 8X10 cabs!. Ive used this rig for 6000+ seat venues!.!. and it was still a bit much for that stage!. The quiter the stage!.!.!. the more you can hear whats going on around you!.!. and your ears dont get so fatigued!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hey Richie

First of all, mostly everyone is miked nowadays and your 180 watt Beringer has enough power when miked!. Don't forget that the bass has lower frequencies and has more presence than a guitar amp!.
Don't worry about the guitar amp overpowering you!. The Bass always pulls through!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
