Question: Fret trouble on guitar!?
My trouble is only on the high E string on the 3rd fret!. For some reason on the 3rd fret I always have trouble getting a good sound out of it!. And I've figured out that its because the string touches the next fret down which mutes the note a little bit!. This is an expensive guitar by the way, not cheap!.
My question is should i take it to a professional to get the problem fixed (I figure the trouble fret will just be tapped down a little bit or filed down)!. Is it worth it to pay someone to fix this or would it be easy for me to do it!. It sounds simple enough, but if I do something wrong I could possibly ruin my $1000 guitar!.
O yeah, could I solve this problem with the truss rod!? I just thought of that now!.
Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Don't even risk damaging your guitar, take it to a professional!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with these two, take it to a professional if you don't know how to adjust your bridge yourself!. This will probably help a lot if you haven't had your guitar set up before!.

also:
DO NOT TOUCH THE TRUSSROD
If you don't know what you're doing, you can completely ruin your guitar!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
