Question: How do I become a Actor / Background Actor with no experience!?
I am in my 50's, raised a family, worked hard at my profession!. I am at a point where I would like to explore film acting!. The last time I had anything to do with this I ran the spotlights and sound boards in high school!. Realizing my skills are limited I was thinking that I should start with being a background person!. Is this correct!? What are the first steps!? Are agents needed!? Required reading!? unions etc!. Any help is appreciated!. Currently I live on the eastern shore of MD!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Over the years I've been in the background of a lot of movies, TV shows and infomercials!. It's all a matter of being in the right place at the right time!.!.!. when they need extras for something, they advertise in the local news papers!. It doesn't pay anything, you know!.!.!. if you are lucky you may get a box lunch but I've been to a few shoots where all I got was a cold hot dog and warm coke!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
