Question: Can you play a 10th on the piano!? (also asked in Polls and Surveys)!?

i heard that being able to play a 10th on the piano is REALLY rare so i was just wondering how many people could do it!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A tenth is an octave plus 2 whole steps!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I can reach an 11th with one hand!.!.!.!.!.!.!.but the only reason it is so unheard of is because most peolpe do not have that big of hands to reach that far!.!.!.!.playing a tenth has nothing to do with how good a piano player you are or are not!.!.!.!.it has to do with the size of your hands!.

However if you want to play a 10th I suggest using 2 hand that goes foe anything above an octave!.

There are different 10ths on the piano!. They all can be played easily using two hands!. Playing two keys ten notes apart with one hand is more difficult!.
The ones that go from a white key to another white key (like from C to the E which is 10 notes above) are easier then one going from a white key to a black key (example D to F#)!.
also a big stretch for your hand are the ones from a black key to a white key (like Db to F)
There are examples of this interval in musical literature!. They're sometimes intended to be played in combination with damper pedal and a technique of "rolling" the notes so that they don't even need to be struck at exactly the same time; in these cases it's possible for a player with any size hands to perform any 10th!.
Lastly, it should be noted that the term "tenth" generically describes a category of intervals!. There are minor tenths which are easier to perform than the major 10ths!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A 10th I believe is when you can play an octave, but 2 more notes beyond that!. I can play a 9th and my hands arent fully grown!. Playing a 10th is rare!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
