If you are accurate on the trumpet and cornet and have a good, focused sound, french horn shouldn't be too difficult for you!.

French horn fingerings are different just slightly around C to E: C# is only 1&2, D is 1, Eb is only 2, and E is open!. And that's just for a single horn!.!.!.a double horn (the one with a thumb trigger) has several strange fingerings you can use in the upper range!.

It'll be tough to get used to the tiny mouthpiece, though, but there's sooo many mouthpieces out there and I'm sure you can find one that's not too small and similar to your trumpet!.

Being able to play more than one instrument is fun and I'm glad you're wondering!

Being a trumpet player, you automatically know how to play the Mellophone, too!. It's the french horn for marching band and they use a trumpet mouthpiece and the exact same fingerings as trumpet!Www@QuestionHome@Com

of course you can!
because you are familiar with brass instruments, it shouldn't be too much of a problem!.
but french horn is a very difficult instrument to play!. but with much practice, anything is possible!
good luck sweetie! you can do it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the embouchure is different, and pitches are closer together-so its important to have a good ear for pitch,!.!.!.but i have seen several trumpet players become highly adept at horn!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
