I'm not going to help you write your lyrics, but I can help you write your song!.

Take a piece of paper!. Make four lines (equal, across horizontaly!.) Draw a line vertically in the middle!.

First, you should make half of the first line in the first verse!.

Ex: 'This is the story of my life' could be half of the first line of the first verse!.

Now, draw boxes above each of those words!. You should make a box over words with two syllables (so, it would be -this- -is- -the- -stor- -y- -of- -my- -life- )

Fill either 'L' for loud, or 'S' for soft in the boxes!. It all depends on what you'd say with more emphasis!. So, in that sentance, this is what it would turn out like:

-L: this- -S:is- -S:the- -L:stor- -S:y- -S:of- -S:my- -L:life-

So, your pattern is 'L s s L s s s L!.'

The rest of your song MUST FOLLOW THAT PATTERN!.

Next, to work the second part of the line, you write it the same way, having the last word of the first hald rhyme with the last word of the second half (life!.) So, your second part could be:

-L:Pre- -S:pare- -S:for- -L:sad- -S:ness- -S:and- -S:for- -L:strife-

(Prepare for sadness and for strife!.)

So, strife and life rhyme!.

Now, at the end of the first line, you're going to put just TWO more words!. 'from me' will work!.

'This is the story of my life, prepare for sadness and for strife from me!.'

Now, for the next line, same pattern!. The words can be different at the end, but the still need to rhyme with each other!. 'from me' needs to rhyme with something!. (me just needs to rhyme, so 'maybe' could work!.)

Continue writing like this for your verses!. Your chorus doesn't require it, but the verses do!. This is how professionals write songs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It has never been the easiest of processes but it is definitely one of the most rewarding!. Listen not only the kind of song you're going to write!. You need plenty of ideas for that!. A song that expresses what you feel is a good song, even if no one else thinks so!. A song that expresses your thoughts and feelings in a way that reaches other people, helps them feel something deeper or understand something better - that's a really good song!Www@QuestionHome@Com
