Question: Not sure if I should relearn flute or violin!.!?
I played the flute and learned the bare basics of it for about two years!.!.!. and I've played the violin for about seven years!. I haven't played EITHER in about six!.!.!. so no matter which I choose, I have a lot of relearning to do!.

I'm really not sure which instrument I would enjoy more!. I'm leaning more toward the flute, but I'd basically need to start learning from scratch again, whereas with the violin I could probably self-teach!. Is the flute very hard!?

Opinions please!Www@QuestionHome@Com

HI Will!. Basically you are going to be teaching yourself!.!.!. but you have the head start of knowing how to play both instruments and you want to put the most effort in finding out which will be the best for you!. Now I am going to suggest something a little unconventional, but I believe it is a good idea in your particular situation!. Since you probably will be doing this yourself!.!.!.!. Get a couple of study books in your progress level and give it a chance on both instruments in the beginning!. I am not talking about die-hard practice, as you are not going to be doing that anyway!. Am I right!?!?!? My suggestion is to practice each instrument about 30 minutes a day - back to back for two or three weeks (that is not asking too much of yourself)!. This way you can determine which instrument you like best and the one you will continue with!. One will seem harder or more boring, or not as pleasing to your ear!. Things will pop out at you to help in making the decision!. Even if one is more difficult than the other!.!.!. if it is the one you like best, you will overcome the barrier!. I know people here have their preference, the instrument they LIKE!.!.!. but that is not really what YOU want to play!.!.!. what others like!. If you have both instruments at your disposal!.!.!. take my suggestion under consideration!.!.!. and above all no matter which one you choose!.!.!. music is a joy!!! SO enjoy!! Thanks for reading!.

VIOLIN ALL THE WAY!! Well I'm very bias because I've played it for awhile now, and I personally think that you could go further in life with the violin, because there are more famous performers with it!. But go with what you feel you should do!. And then again flute would be a nice change!. Do you like blowing alot!? That's what I think would be hard to do with the flute!.!.!. but go with what you want, and you really should go with what you want, who really cares what we say, because it's how you really feel about each instrament in the end!. =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I vote flute!. I've played flute for nearly 5 years now, and I still love it!.

As for the flute being very hard, it really depends!. One thing you have to be able to do is blow OVER the hole!. If you can't do that, stick with violin!. However, if you are able to do that, then it's fairly easy!. My band direction back in 5th grade told me that I wouldn't be able to play it, but I proved her wrong!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

its ur choice but if u already know the basics of violin it would be easier to relearn the violin!. but if u wanna a challenge maybe u should pick up the flute !. if u cant decide just relearn both!. since i play violin i would learn to toward violin!. good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

I prefer the violin, but if you prefer the flute then you should really play that, because you won't be having any fun on the violin!. =/Www@QuestionHome@Com
