Question: Em chord question for guitar!?
for the Em chord do u just strum the A and D strings!?
and if not which strings!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
You strum all 6 strings since the strings you are not fretting (high E, B, G, and low E) all participate in the Em chord!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well if it's E MINOR you strum all the strings

E(ddie) -- strummed
A(te) -- strummed
D(ynamite) -- strummed
G(ood) -- strummed
B(ye) -- strummed
e(ddie) -- strummed

(yeah i thought i would throw in my string memorization method in there too)

and if it's E Major
you strum the 2 strings that you already have your fingers on for E minor and then add your pointer finger and put it on the G string!.!.!.and strum all the stringsWww@QuestionHome@Com

It all depends on what you are playing!. I could play one chord several ways during the course of a song!. It's personal preference!. Generally, if you're just strumming, you would play all six strings!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You play all of the strings, although when I'm playing I usually only play as far as B !.!.!. sounds just as good in my opinion!Www@QuestionHome@Com
