Question: Could I play this instrument!?

Im 12 years old and about 5 ft!. Can I play a bassoon!?
I've already decided to play it but I don't know if I'm tall enough!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yeah, sure, it doesn't really matter about your height!. You mostly sit down when playing the bassoon anyway, just go for it! You'll have lots of fun and its a skill you can have for life!.

Dont worry you could always get an elevated chair or sit on something!.
I rember when i first began playing a tuba it was way to big so i had to crouch and stuff just to hold it ,but now im basicly 5'7 and it is easy enough to sit and use to right now youll have a little trouble but give it about a month youll be all settled with everything !.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You play the bassoon sitting down, so you can always sit on phone books or get a taller chair if you're having trouble with the height!. The important factor is your hand size -- are your fingers long enough to reach all the keys comfortably!? At 5 feet, you should be tall enough!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
