Question: Decent with Guitar!. Bad singing voice!. Should I still take singing lessons!?
Hi, I've been playing the guitar for a little while now (around 6 months)!. I think iv'e learned pretty fast, considering I put an upwards of 2 hours a day into it!. My question is, even though my voice is bad (I don't think i'm tone deaf, but its still a possibility), should I still take singing lessons!? I want to be able to sing while playing the guitar!. Yes, I do realize that I will never be able to reach superstardom without a stellar voice, but I still want to be able to have some vocals along with the song!.
Lastly, I do realize that playing the guitar while singing is one of the hardest things you can do, but I am willing to put the time and effort in!. I just don't want to waste money for a singing coach and then realize that I have no chance whatsoever of singing!. Thank you and I really do look forward to your answers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First off, anyone can learn to sing well!. The only thing is some people's voices are better suited for it!. Don't listen to people that say it is only a "gift!." Usually the only people that say this are the high and mighty singers that feel they don't need lessons cause they're already too good!.
You should definitely take lessons!. What happens a lot with guys (I'm kind of assuming you're a teenager!?) is that the vocal chords don't quite want to cooperate with the singer!. This will end up sounding like you're tone deaf, but in reality it's just getting used to your throat!. I've seen people come into a choir class sounding absolutely horrible, but with the right guidance they could definitely control themselves more and started to sound much better!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if your not!.!.!. i will take other carrer- may be cool guitar player or something!. its as good as singing!
btw, i having amazing beautifual voice!.!. but my tones are horrible!.!. i chooose to study mathematics instead for that same reason that i mentioned!.!.

Singing lessons from another songwriter/singer!. Be careful who you choose for a teacher!. You want to get your own voice out!. Think about a particular singer whose voice touches you and try that style first!. If not you might end up singing Italian Arias or Puccini!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
i suggest get a band together and learn how to sing harmonies!. i know a mate who's a great guitarist but isnt much of a singer!. he's in a band and plays lead and sings harmonies, which he's quite good at!.
