There are too many that are good to even list, but not one of them is the best!.

You have to decide what is "good" and/or "best" for you and the place to start is your local guitar shop!. Play as many as you can!.

Anyone who had the nerve to name a "best" here, is simply wrong and can only know what is "best" for him/herself!. Trust nobody who thinks they know!.

Ultimately, it depends on what kind of guitar suits you!. A particular brand can't be said as being the best, because they all have their different styles, sounds and designs!. A lot of brands offer beginner guitars, like Yamaha, Fender, and Gibson!. I started off with a Yamaha!. Personally, I LOVE Ibanez guitars!. I have one now, and it sounds like it was made by angels to me, however, some other people may not appreciate the sound quite so much!. It's really all about personal preference!. But some notable, and often respected, guitar brands include Yamaha, Gibson, Garrison, Ibanez, Fender, and Taylor!.

You need to say if it is acoustic or electric!. Either way, go to your local music store and try one out!. Brand name doesn't mean much for a beginner!. Electric wise, Fender offers many lower priced guitars, but if you have small hands, the 25-1/2 scale might be harder to play verses Gibsons 24-3/4!. Martin makes some of the best acoustic guitars around, but they can be very expensive (1300!.00 plus)!. If you are looking for a good beginner guitar, Fender, Yamaha and Ovation all make great beginning guitars for reasonable prices!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
