Simple answer: Yes!. A scale is a stepwise arrangement of ALL the notes!. If you start on ANY note of the scale as we know it in western music: A-B-C-D-E-F-G { seven notes and the REPEAT of the FIRST NOTE will make the 8th note a full 8ve!.scale!.
The last (8th note) could be an octave higher or lower with the
other notes in-between the high and low note!.

If you are ask to play a scale you must play all the 7 notes +
the REPEAT of the first note for a total of 8 notes played !.

If you are ask to sound an octave you just play the 1st Note and REPEAT that note 8 notes higher or lower!.

I hope this help you in your try-out!.

C, D, E, F, G, A , B, C

For all scales:
Do not repeat the last note to come back down the scale (to the note you started on), it's redundant and will not create a flowing, unified sound!.

Going up: C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C, coming down B, A, G, F, E, D, A!.

Practice this slowly (for each major/minor scale) and get it right, before trying to increase your speed!.

C D E F G A B C

I'm not sure what you mean to be honest!. What you see above is a C major scale!. Start on C and play the notes you see above, up to C one octave higher!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Start with a low c and then work up to a high c!. Thats pretty much the meaning of scales its like opposites, start with the low notes and end with the high notes,

C-D-E-F-G-A-B-CWww@QuestionHome@Com

If it's C, you start on a C and end on a high(er) C!. It should be 8 notes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
