I am 15 and this is the first time I have been put in a leadership position!. With this company I am one of the younger people in the cast and I was wondering how to correct people without seeming like I am telling them that they are doing a bad job,,,Www@QuestionHome@Com

Congratulations on being chosen as dance captain!

If you are younger, there will be some resistance to what you say, no matter what!. In time, you will be recognized for your abilities by the other dancers!.

The very best thing that you can do is to take the pressure off the person who is experiencing difficulties!. Show them what happens when "you" do what "they" are doing!. Try not to over-do it!.!.!. but, let them see that it causes "you" to have difficulties, too!. Then, show them what "you" need to do to correct "your" problem!.

You'll be surprised at how well this teaching technique works! They will appreciate it tremendously, and you'll win them over much more quickly!.

Correct them on their mistakes, but also praise them on their accomplishments!. Make sure to point out the good along with the bad!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
