Why are there so many different arrangements for Canon in D!? Which is Pachelbel's original!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
The original Pachelbel's Canon, was written for three violins and a Basso Continuo, and is actually 2 movements, it is a Canon and a Gigue, so the official title is Canon and Gigue in D Major for Three Violins and a Basso Continuo!. It has been arranged for many different ensembles, and has also been arranged for solo performances on the classical guitar and piano!.

It was rarely played but in the 1970s a recording by a chamber orchestra led by Jean-Fran?ois Paillard, who is a French conductor!.

I hope this answers your question!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
