Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: As a guitarist of 10 years and someone who loves his music!.!.let me tell you this IT IS NOT YOUR GEAR THAT MAKES YOU, IT IS THE AMOUNT OF LOVE YOU PUT INTO PLAYING!. I started playing guitar on an 80 dollar BC rich warlock, and I had a 10 watt used Fender amp from 1987 with no effects and no pedals, I practiced and played that thing for 3 years until I got a sweet new guitar and a nice marshall amp!. I can tell you are a young guitarist and a beginner, how long have you been playing!? how old are you!? and most of all!.!.!.why are you so concerned with pedals and effects!? because they sound cool!? ehhh wrong! if you want effects and pedals, do it because you want to experiment with the sounds and skills you should already have~ my best advice is to buy a cheap *** amp, get it used at a guitar shop or a milano music, and dont spend a chunk of change on some crappy little 15 watt line 6 that'll probably run you a rip off!.!.!.!.find something cheap and easy for 50 bucks and practice until you have some skill, some flexibililty and when you know what style you are!. Practice, play guitar without electricity, jam without fx, practice your chords, not power chords, chords too! practice your scales, A thru G, practice and become a real guitarist before you buy pedals and FX!. bottom line!.!.!.forget pedals! you dont need them right now, if you want to be a badass guitarist, get used to a guitar without any FX, get used to a guitar that is plain and stripped down, get used to a boring, stone-age sound!.!.!.!.it will train you to appreciate pure sounds, pure timbre, pure music!.!.!. THEN!.!.!.think about pedals!.!.!.!. what are you waiting for kid!? get praciting, and PLAY MORE THAN GREEN DAY SONGS! listen to classical, blues, jazz, oldies, get a broad sense of things, trust me!.!.!.!.I listened only to punk and bad religion in my young years, and I SUCKED *** until I opened my mind to other stuff!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Sure you can, why not !? Put 2 pedals or 3 if you want!. If that is the sound you want, go for it!. Edit!.!.!.you dont need any special jack!. Just plug your guitar in the input of the pedal!.!.!.now put in a second wire in the output of the pedal and the other end to the input of the amp!.
